Dear Parents and Facility members

Like many of you, Chess Max Academy has been closely monitoring reports of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus)

To protect our students from the current outbreak, we have taken the following measures:

All students and coaches will sanitize their hands as soon as they arrive, between meals and after each activity.
There will be no hand-shaking during chess games.
All facilities as well as doorknobs and metal surfaces will be sanitized daily
We urge parents whose children have the slightest cold-like symptoms to refrain from signing up for camps and reserve the right to withdraw such students from the program.

We understand this could be a difficult time for many working parents and we are prepared to provide a really caring, instructive and fun environment for kids that could use this as an opportunity to really improve their chess game, while being in a safe place.

USCF rating 500+ required

Workshops are an intensive chess only program that focuses on improving each students particular weaknesses in the game, while also teaching them the tools to improve on their own at home. Coaches present different ways of thinking about the moves, how to use resources available online for self-improvement and problem competitions designed to teach kids methods of finding correct tactical solutions. Supervised play and tournament play will be organized to see how the students are processing the newly learned knowledge.

Students will be in class both sessions with snack and a lunch break at noon, but no sport time outside of the Academy. It is better suited for students trying to effectively improve their skill levels in a short period of time.

Morning Session: 9:00am- 12pm

Afternoon Session: 12:30am- 3:30pm
