Private lessons offer the students an opportunity to delve deeper into the specific individual chess questions that need to be covered outside of group lessons. Specialized openings knowledge or training exercises designed to deal with individual weaknesses will be offered by our star Grandmaster coaches that are currently some of the best chess teachers in the United States.

Maxim Dlugy

Maxim Dlugy – the Founder of Chess Max Academy is a former World Champion and one of the most successful Presidents of the US Chess Federation. His students have won World, Continental and National championships and more than half of his students are in the top 50 lists in their countries.

Lev Alburt

Lev is a three times U.S. champion and one of the most popular chess writers in the U.S.
He has vast experience teaching chess and is touted as one of the main secrets of Wall Street for success

Mark Paragua

Grandmaster Paragua was the winner of the Disney World Rapid Championship for Kids and became the youngest Filipino master at the age of 9. He was also in the top 100 players in the world and has been coaching chess for the past 10 years.

Jimmy Broja

Coach Jimmy is a strong master who knows how to keep kids engaged from the start. His caring approach is seen as his students start playing in tournaments and he supervises their progress, making sure they have all the questions answered before their games begin.

Adam Maltese

Adam was a huge chess prodigy at a young age, winning $8000 in an adult tournament at the age of 9. Since then Adam has become a Senior Master and has been teaching chess to all levels of kids for the past 15 years. He has a reputation for distilling the most complicated chess concepts down to easy to understand explanations, while making it fun and exciting for his young students.

Richard Selzler

Richard is a strong master with a good systematic approach to teaching kids who have been playing chess for a year or two. He has an excellent chess foundation that would enable kids to get great games from the very start and continue playing with confidence.

Michael Ocido

Michael is a young master from Philippines who transfers his love and spark for chess to kids of all ages with seemingly no effort. His students love the way he explains key chess concepts and his engaging style makes it fun for them to learn the game.

Cory Hayes

Corey is a strong club level player who is a wonderful coach for young kids who are looking to improve their game while having fun. He is witty, and packs a great boost of energy that gets kids captivated to study the game.
